Thought of the day

  1. If you can't fix it yourself, no one else will.

  2. Everybody does things for nobody but himself(herself); unfortunately self-love is the only true love. Don't follow those who preach otherwise. The thing is if they don't love themselves, how can you love them and their preachings on any other damn thing.

  3. Most of the things that you die hard to achieve don't mean anything in the long run. After all everybody dies and they don't let you take anything with you to heaven or hell. Who cares if you go to heaven or hell, you don't live to see that, do you?

  4. Milestones don't matter; there is always another milestone and you will eventually forget to count how many just passed away. However if you enjoyed the journey from the last milestone; chances are you will enjoy the journey to the next one too.

  5. The worst thing that can ever happen is when you are about to achieve what you always wanted to have in life. The moment you get it, you suddenly loose everything that you had until then.

PM-> Change is the only thing that is constant in this world. It always happens. If you dont change it some one else surely will. But it will not be to your liking.

Everybody does things for nobody but himself(herself)
PM->That is an absolute truth. "Every man always does things that he wants to do." Richard Bach.

PM-> I would say unconditional love is the only true love. It can be towards yourself too. But that never happens. If it happened then there would be no such thing as sadness, anger, frustrations etc.

PM->Life is a journey. Not a destination. So yo have to enjoy the journey. Death is also not an end. Its another begining to yet another end. Since end is always an integral part of begining (and you cant change it) one has to make the most of what one gets in one lifetime. The ultimate that one can achieve would be to be able to love unconditionally with detachment and not with attachment.

PM-> You have almost answered your own question (See previous comment).

PM->Nothing belongs to anyone in any lifetime. Even your body does not belong to you after one lifetime. You can not lose anything if nothing was yours. Love is pure only when it is with detachment.

1. Pretty thoughtful on this one. I decided to make a change after your post.

If you can't fix it, no one else will

3. I'm not sure if i understood right but i've a different opinion for sure. We can discuss when we meet on weekend sometime.

4. too confusing a sentence "love unconditionally with detachment and not with attachment" I beg to differ.

5. Again too confusing. man whats going on in your mind :-)

Love unconditionally means when you love something for the way it is without expecting it to change for you or without expecting any returns from it.

"With detachment" is a subset of unconditional love. When love of one opposes the love of the other then its love with attachment. You have fear of losing one of them. So if you think that nothing belongs to you and still love both, they will not oppose each other. That is love with detachment. :). if you still cant understand we'll talk.

I thought on your this comment further. While your thoughts on unconditional love is fairly true; i've different opinion on sadness, anger and frustrations. These are -ve feelings which come because you expected something for yourself and failed to achieve them for whatever reasons. Now when you say unconditional love is mostly for others; you are looking at it from your own perception and ignoring the fact that you probably long for that good feeling because of your "unconditional love" to others and that is kind of driving that "unconditional love". Again it boils down to you, your feelings and what you like to do [all others are silent]. Any further thoughts?
